Lillian Tsurumi Hashimoto, 68, of Hilo died Nov. 5 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Laupahoehoe, she was an employee at Big Island Candies. Visitation 4-5 p.m. Thursday (Nov. 30) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 5 p.m. Casual attire. Survived by companion, Darrell Ota of Hilo; sisters, Judy (Herman) Hamasaki and Jean (Davis Brandt Sr.) Hashimoto of Hilo; two nephews, two grandnephews and cousins. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Marjorie Soto, 74, of Pahoa died Nov. 16 at a private care home. Born in Hakalau, she was a retired factory worker for Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Co. Visitation 9-11 a.m. Thursday (Nov. 30) at Glad Tidings Church, 116 Kapiolani St. in Hilo. Celebration of life at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. Casual attire. Survived by husband, Stephen Soto of Pahoa; sons, Shane Soto of Miami and Primus Soto of Beaverton, Ore.; daughter-in-law, Janice Soto of Hilo; sisters, Beatrice Santiago of Las Vegas and Estralita (Irwin) Molcilio of Keaau; brother, Manuel J.
